Danielle Karacson of Francis Marion and Hannah Killough of Mount Olive Named Weekly Award Winners for Softball
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Danielle Karacson of Francis Marion and Hannah Killough of Mount Olive have been named the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas softball for the week ending March 27, 2022.
Karacson was selected as the Player of the Week, while Killough garnered her third Pitcher of the Week honors of the 2022 season.
A senior from Bartow, Florida, Karacson hit .611 (11-of-18) with nine RBIs and five runs scored in four games last week for Francis Marion. Karacson had seven extra-base hits on the week on four doubles, two home runs and one triple. She owned a slugging percentage of 1.278 and an on-base percentage of .579. Karacson had multiple hits in three games, including two four-hit games.
A junior from Pageland, South Carolina, Killough pitched a total of 17 innings in an undefeated week for Mount Olive. She allowed just two earned runs and struck out 17 in her 17 innings in the circle. Killough allowed her opponents to hit just .123 against her. Killough currently leads Conference Carolinas in ERA (1.36), innings pitched (103.0), strikeouts (133) and wins (13).
