Thomas Cecere of North Greenville and Jackson Downs of Chowan Chosen to USILA/Dynamic Team of the Week
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Thomas Cecere of North Greenville and Jackson Downs of Chowan have been selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Dynamic Team of the Week.
A redshirt junior on attack for North Greenville, Cecere finished North Greenville’s two wins last week with 10 goals and three assists. He also had six ground balls and he caused two turnovers. The Grand Island, New York native finished with four goals and two assists in North Greenville’s conference home win over Lees-McRae on March 23. He followed that up by finishing with an impressive six goals and one assist in North Greenville’s thrilling 19-15 road league win at Barton on March 26.
An old-school throwback two-way midfielder for Chowan according to the USILA, Downs, a redshirt senior from Olney, Maryland, finished Chowan’s 21-8 win over Emmanuel with 10 points on four goals and six assists.
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) is an organization comprised of member colleges and universities which sponsor intercollegiate lacrosse for men.
The Association is entrusted to enhance and develop intercollegiate lacrosse by providing leadership, management, and services to its membership so that student-athletes, coaches, and other constituent groups will realize the maximum benefit from the sport of lacrosse.
