Samuel Trueba of King Named Men’s Golfer of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Samuel Trueba of King has been named the Golfer of the Week for men’s golf in Conference Carolinas for the week ending March 29, 2022.
Trueba claims the weekly honor for the fourth time this season.
Trueba finished tied for first after stroke play at the Tennessee River Rumble, leading the Tornado to a seventh-place finish. The junior shot three rounds of par or lower, starting with rounds of 2-under 70 and 5-under 67 on Monday, March 28. He closed with a round of even par 72 in the second round on Tuesday, March 29 to finish with a tournament total of 7-under 209.
The tournament win for Trueba was his third of the season. He is the only Tornado in men’s golf program history to win multiple tournaments in their career.
