Sasha Gardiner of King and Amanda Guzman of Erskine Named Co-Women’s Golfer of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Sasha Gardiner of King and Amanda Guzman of Erskine have been selected as Co-Golfer of the Week for Conference Carolinas women’s golf for the week ending March 8.
The duo each carded a 54-hole 153 to finish tied for fourth at the Converse Spring Invitational by Founders at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
A senior from West Sussex, England, Gardiner fired a first round 75 and closed the event with a 78 on Tuesday. The Tornado finished the tournament 15th. This is the second Golfer of the Week honor for Gardiner this season, but first this spring.
Guzman, a freshman from Valparaiso, Chile, opened with a 76 on Monday and closed with a 77 for her 153. The Flying Fleet tied for second in the tournament as a team. This is the third Golfer of the Week honor this season for Guzman, first this spring.
