Mount Olive Picked to Win Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Title in Preseason Poll
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mount Olive was picked to win its eighth consecutive league title in the 2022 Conference Carolinas Women's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches Poll, the conference announced on Thursday.
The Trojans, who won the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships, received 97 points and seven first-place votes in the poll. UNC Pembroke earned 86 points and three first-place votes. Southern Wesleyan was chosen third with 85 points and the final first-place vote. North Greenville is fourth with 66 points and Converse rounds out the top five with 65 points.
Emmanuel was chosen sixth with 54 points and was followed by Lees-McRae (43), Belmont Abbey (32), Barton (27), King (24) and Erskine (23).
The 2022 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held on April 29-30 at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex on the campus of Mount Olive.
