Erskine, North Greenville Tied Atop Crowded Leaderboard After Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship First Round
RESULTS | TOURNAMENT WEBSITE | SNOW HILL, N.C. – After the first round of the 2022 Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina, Erskine and North Greenville are tied for the team lead at 302 while Daniel Planchock of NGU and Kris Jackson of Barton are tied for the individual lead at 71.
Jackson finished the par-72, 6,994-yard course with a tournament-best four birdies to go with 12 pars while Planchock has a tournament-best 13 pars and had three birdies in the first round. Planchock shot one-under on par 4’s while Jackson was even on such holes. Jackson was two-under on the four par 5’s while Planchock was even.
Bryson Boyette of Barton and Cade Hancock of Mount Olive had the only eagles in the opening round of play with the average score being 78.58 on day one.
The Flying Fleet and Crusaders hold a two stroke lead over Barton at 304 whole is just two better than Belmont Abbey and Mount Olive who both carded a 306. King is in sixth at 309 followed by Emmanuel (315), Southern Wesleyan (316) and Chowan (325).
The second round of the Championship will begin at 9 a.m. with groups going off the first and 10th tees.
