BRISTOL, Tenn. - Top-seeded Limestone captured its first-ever Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship title with a 264.010-260.395 victory over third-seeded Converse on Sunday, April 10 at the Student Center Complex on the campus of King University.
The Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling regular season and tournament champions, Limestone improved to 11-0 overall on the season with its victory in the championship meet.
The meet was extremely close throughout with Converse (9-3) owning a slight 120.900-120.675 lead over Limestone through the toss portion of the championship meet. Things turned in Limestone's favor for the first time in the meet in tumbling with the Saints securing a 53.675-51.375 advantage in that particular portion of the meet to take its first lead of the day at 174.350-172.275 entering the team event.
In the team event, Limestone held a slight 89.66-88.12 scoring advantage to emerge with the 264.010-260.395 overall team victory.
