Claire Gilmore of North Greenville and Miranda Holmes of Barton Chosen Softball Weekly Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Claire Gilmore of North Greenville and Miranda Holmes of Barton have been chosen as the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas softball for the week ending April 17, 2022.
Gilmore was tabbed as the Player of the Week, while Holmes collected Pitcher of the Week honors.
A redshirt junior from Pinopolis, South Carolina, Gilmore closed out North Greenville’s four games last week hitting .417 (5-for-12) with eight runs scored and six RBIs. She had four extra-base hits on the week on three home runs and one double. Gilmore owned an impressive 1.250 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .588.
A freshman from Godwin, South Carolina, Holmes pitched a complete-game shutout in Barton’s 1-0 conference win over Francis Marion on Tuesday, April 12. She struck out nine and allowed just two hits in the league victory.
