Emma Bentz of Erskine Selected Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Emma Bentz of Erskine has been selected as the Player of the Week for women’s tennis for the week ending April 17, 2022.
A sophomore from Suwanee, Georgia, Bentz was 2-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles last week.
In Erskine’s 5-2 team league win over Emmanuel, Bentz first teamed with Luize Valtere to collect a 6-3 win over Alejandra Guerrero and Darja Chistov at No. 1 doubles. She followed that up with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Alejandra Guerrero at No. 1 singles.
Bentz again teamed with Valtere to earn a 6-4 victory over Anya King and Natalie White at No. 1 doubles in Erskine’s 6-4 team conference win over Southern Wesleyan on April 15. Bentz then earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory over King at No. 1 singles.
