Mason Chaney of Barton Named to USILA/Dynamic Division II Team of the Week
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its 2022 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week for the week of April 18 and Mason Chaney of Barton represented Conference Carolinas on the 10 player team that earned recognition from the organization for their exceptional performances in the games for their program this past week.
A sophomore on attack from Dunkirk, Maryland, Chaney finished his efforts with six goals and an assist in Barton’s thrilling 19-17 win over league rival Chowan on Saturday, April 16. Chaney crossed the 100-goal mark for his career in the victory. In conference-only games this season, Chaney is leading all in Conference Carolinas with 4.6 goals per game. His 23 goals in league play also lead the way. Chaney is tied with North Greenville’s Thomas Cecere for points per game in league play at 5.60.
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) is an organization comprised of member colleges and universities which sponsor intercollegiate lacrosse for men.
The Association is entrusted to enhance and develop intercollegiate lacrosse by providing leadership, management, and services to its membership so that student-athletes, coaches, and other constituent groups will realize the maximum benefit from the sport of lacrosse.
