GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas released its 2022 softball all-conference honors on Wednesday, April 27 ahead of the conference championship which begins on Thursday, April 28 at Tyger River Park in Duncan, South Carolina.

The all-conference awards were chosen by the league’s head coaches.

Kylie Emanuele and Hannah Killough of Mount Olive won Player and Pitcher of the year honors while Abby Craver of Belmont Abbey was named Freshman of the Year and Jake Cockerham of King was awarded Coach of the Year.

Emanuele finished the regular season leading Conference Carolinas with a .483 average and a 1.413 on-base plus slugging percentage. She is just the second Crusaders to win the award joining Sloane McPeak who took home the honor in 2015.

Cockerham, who is in his fourth year at King, made history for the Tornado as the first head coach to win the Coach of the Year honor in program history as he led King to the schools second Conference Carolinas regular season championship (2013) which they shared with Mount Olive.
