North Greenville Tops NCAA Baseball Southeast Region Rankings, Joined by UNC Pembroke and Belmont Abbey
GREENVILLE, S.C. – North Greenville, UNC Pembroke and Belmont Abbey represented Conference Carolinas in the first NCAA Southeast Region Baseball Rankings, which were released by the NCAA on Wednesday.
North Greenville, who will be the top seed in the Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship next week, is the top team in the region with an overall record of 39-7 overall and 23-4 in league play. The Crusaders have outscored their opponents 452-191 this season.
UNC Pembroke has won five straight games and ranked fourth in the region with a 33-13 overall record and a 20-7 league mark which is currently second-best in the conference. The Braves have outscored their opponents 428-256 in 2022.
Belmont Abbey, which currently sits third in Conference Carolinas, was ranked sixth in the region. The Crusaders have won six straight games to get to 31-15 overall and 18-8 in league play having outscored their opponents 382-259.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee leading up to the NCAA Championship selections.
