Converse and Limestone Capture First National Championships in History of Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling
EUGENE, Ore. - Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling captured its first-ever national championships at the 2022 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Event Finals inside Matthew Knight Arena at the University of Oregon.
Converse collected the national championship in the six element in the acro event, while Limestone picked up the national title in the open heat in the pyramid event.
In securing the national title in the six element portion of the acro event, Converse posted a score of 9.775. The national championship-winning score held off second-place finisher Oregon (9.700).
Limestone posted a score of 9.950 in the open heat of the pyramid event to secure the national title. The score narrowly held off fellow Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling member Coker (9.850) and Baylor (9.850).
In addition to Converse, Limestone and Coker, Belmont Abbey and Lander also participated in the event finals.
