Mount Olive and Erskine Set for Rematch in 2022 Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Championship Final

SUMTER, S.C. – The 2022 Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Championship final will feature top-seeded Mount Olive battling third-seeded Erskine.
 
The 2022 final is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start on Sunday, May 1 at the Palmetto Tennis Center. The 2022 final will be a rematch of last year’s final that Erskine won, 4-3.
 
According to Conference Carolinas records, Erskine will be looking for its 13th Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Championship title. Mount Olive enters the 2022 final looking to capture its first title since 2017.
 
In advancing to the championship match, Erskine captured an exciting 4-3 victory over Francis Marion in the semifinals. The Flying Fleet moved into the singles portion of the semifinals with a 1-0 advantage over Francis Marion. Erskine captured wins at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 singles to collect the thrilling win and advance to the final.
 
Mount Olive picked up a 4-2 win over Emmanuel in the other semifinal. Mount Olive collected the doubles point before winning at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles to collect the win and advance to the final.
