GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas unveiled its 2022 acrobatics & tumbling all-conference honors at a special banquet on the campus of King University ahead of the 2022 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship semifinals on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

The 2022 all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.

Converse’s Alyssa Loo was selected as the Athlete of the Year after a stellar regular season. The three-time Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Week is a base that competes in 11 heats per meet. The National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) Athlete of the Week in the second week of the season, the senior from Wesley Chapel, Florida also claimed Honorable Mention weekly honors from the NCATA in the first and third week of the season.

A senior from Mohnton, Pennsylvania, Marita Musser of Limestone was chosen for the second straight year as the Specialist of the Year. Competing in all events except toss, Musser is known for her hand-in-hand position. She has not scored below 9.9 all year in the inversion pyramid. The top specialist performs a 1-1 hand-in-hand that is only competed by a few schools in the country. She was chosen as the NCATA Specialist of the Week on March 2.

A freshman from Abingdon, Maryland, Ayanna Manning of Converse was selected as the Freshman of the Year. A base and tumbler, Manning competes in 10 heats per meet. The Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month in February, Manning was selected as the NCATA Freshman of the Week for the fifth week of the season. She was named Honorable Mention by the NCATA for their weekly honors four times over the course of the regular season.

Michaela Soper of Limestone was chosen as the Coach of the Year in Conference Carolinas for the second consecutive season. Soper led Limestone to an undefeated regular season with a 9-0 record (8-0 Conference Carolinas). The perfect record marked the first time in the two-year history of the conference that a program has ended the regular season undefeated in all meets.
