Alec Rodopoulos of Chowan Chosen as March Men’s Lacrosse Freshman of the Month
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Alec Rodopoulos of Chowan has been tabbed as the Freshman of the Month for men’s lacrosse for March.
A native of Livonia, Michigan, Rodopoulos went 4-0 between the pipes in the month averaging 12.5 saves per game while allowing just over 10 goals per outing. The goalie made double-digit saves in three of the four contests and permitted just three power play tallies while boasting a .505 save percentage. His best game came in a 29-9 win over Shorter on March 16 when he allowed just four goals and made 12 saves. In a one-point, 13-12, win over Coker on March 19, Rodopoulos made 17 saves and faced 49 shots with a .586 save percentage.
