Matthew Wyatt of Belmont Abbey Chosen as April Men’s Lacrosse Freshman of the Month

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Matthew Wyatt of Belmont Abbey has been tabbed as the Freshman of the Month for men’s lacrosse for April.
 
A native of Lutz, Florida, Wyatt scored in all five games in the month to help the Crusaders to a 5-1 record to close the regular season. The freshman attack tallied 12 points on six goals and six assists with one caused turnover and seven groundballs. He netted a pair of goals in a conference win over Emmanuel on April 13 and had one goal and two assists in three separate league contests. He finished his inaugural season in Belmont, North Carolina with 29 points on 17 goals and 12 assists. Wyatt also won the Freshman of the Month award in February.
