Isabelle Flores of Belmont Abbey Selected Women's Outdoor Track and Field Freshman of the Month for April
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Isabelle Flores of Belmont Abbey has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women's outdoor track and field for April.
A freshman in sprints/hurdles from Fleming Island, Florida, Flores posted Conference Carolinas qualifying times in the 400m and 400m Hurdles during the month. She posted a personal best and a season-best team time in the 400m at the SWU GottaRun Invite on April 2 as she finished fourth in 59.41. The next weekend she won the 400m hurdles at the Lenior-Rhyne Invitational on April 10 with a school-record time of 1:03.26. She also set a program record in the 100m hurdles at the event with a third-place time of 15.34. She closed the month at the Lenoir-Rhyne Outdoor Invite on April 23 with a career-best time of 13.08 in the 100m.
