Samuel Trueba of King Begins Play at NCAA Division II National Championship

RESULTS | DEARBORN, Mich. - Samuel Trueba of King, playing as an individual, carded an opening round 73 on the first day of the 2022 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship at TPC of Michigan in Dearborn on Monday.
 
A junior from Pedrena, Spain, Trueba tallied four birdies in the first round, tied for second-most on the day, and finished his round with an even-par 36 on the back nine. He is currently tied for 13th after 18 holes.
 
Indianapolis leads the team championship with an opening round even-par 288, two strokes better than Barry. Oliver Mast led Indianapolis with a three-under 69 and is the individual leader, one stroke better than a trio of competitors.
