UNC Pembroke Improves in Round Two at NCAA Division II South Regional

RESULTS | DAVIE, Fla. - UNC Pembroke improved by 15 strokes in the second round of the NCAA Division II South Regional at Grande Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday as they  carded a second round 303.
 
The par 71, 5,887-yard course played to an average score of 76.18 in round two and the Braves took advantage with 12 more birdies on day two with Georgia Page, Amanda Hamrin and Samantha DeBusk each carding three. 
 
Page paced the Braves scoring on the day with a three-over 74, six strokes better than her round one 80 which allowed her to climb 16 spots into a tie for 39th with a two-day 154. Hamrin improved 20 spots to tie for 44th with a second round one-over 72, 11 strokes better than her Monday score for a tournament total of 155. DeBusk carded a second straight 78 and is tied with teammate Toni Blackwell (77-79) for 51st at 156. Elizabeth Ritchie rounded out the team scoring with a 91 for a two-day 175. 
 
Anderson leads the tournament with a two-day 589 (296-293), two strokes better than Limestone (302-289). Ebba Hellman of Limestone climbed 10 spots to take the individual lead with a one-under 70 for a 36-hole 144 (74-70). 
 
The Braves will take to the course for the third and final round on Wednesday, May 4 off the No. 10 tee beginning at 8:00 a.m. Live scoring is available here.
