UNC Pembroke Women’s Golf Concludes Season at NCAA Division II South Regional
RESULTS | DAVIE, Fla. - UNC Pembroke women’s golf posted a final round 315 on Wednesday to finish the 54-hole NCAA Division II South Regional at Grande Oaks Golf Club with a 936 (318-303-315).
The par 71, 5,887-yard course played to an average score of 75.88 in the final round, the lowest of the tournament with an overall average of 76.23. The 381-yard par 4 ninth hole played the toughest on the week while the 327-yard par 4 18th hole played the easiest.
Amanda Hamrin finished as the low scorer for the Braves in the championship with a three-round 231 (83-72-76) to finish tied for 46th. Samantha DeBusk carded her third consecutive 78 to finish with a 54-hole 234. Georgia Page had a final round 81 to finish the tournament at 235 (80-74-81) and Toni Blackwell finished the event with a 242 (77-79-86). Elizabeth Riches had the third-best final round for UNC Pembroke with an 80 as she finished with a 255 (84-91-80).
Limestone and Lynn tied for the team title at 889 while Lee, Anderson and Barry finished in the top five to earn a spot in the championship field at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia May 10-14. Alice Gotbring of Barry won the individual regional title with a three-day 218 (73-74-71).
