Conference Carolinas Places Five on 2022 CSCAA Division II Scholar All-America Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) selected 731 teams from 441 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2022 semester and five Conference Carolinas teams from three institutions earned the recognition. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring 2022 grade point averages and represent 17,845 student-athletes.
Emmanuel and King men’s and women’s teams both earned the honor while UNC Pembroke’s women’s team was also recognized.
The Emmanuel men’s team posted a 3.15 GPA while King had a 3.0. The Lions’ women’s team posted a 3.78 GPA while the Tornado had a 3.56 mark. UNC Pembroke had a 3.31 GPA.
The highest team GPAs come from Division III programs. Caltech women, for the second time in a row, lead the standings with a 3.97 GPA. Pacific Lutheran is the top men's program at 3.85.
Harvard’s men and Stanford’s women lead the Division I list with team GPAs of 3.78 and 3.83, respectively. Roberts Wesleyan’s men (3.66) and Fairmont State’s women (3.84) top the Division II category. SCAD-Savannah is best among all NAIA schools for both the men (3.56) and women’s (3.80) rankings. NJCAA schools are led by Southwestern Oregon men (3.27) and women (3.54)
