Two Programs, 16 Student-Athletes Earn NABC Academic Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the recipients of the 2021-22 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men’s basketball teams and student-athletes. Conference Carolinas had two programs and 16 student-athletes receive the honor.
King and North Greenville were two of 300 programs to earn the Team Academic Excellence
Award while Belmont Abbey, Chowan and Francis Marion joined King and NGU with Honors Court honorees.
King led the five programs with six honorees while North Greenville had four and the other three institutions each had two honored. There were over 2,000 players honored this season. The full list of Conference Carolinas honorees is below.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men’s basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher while the NABC Honors Count includes junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who finished the 2021-22 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
