Anna Schwieger Joins Conference Carolinas as a Compliance and Championships Assistant
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin recently announced the addition of Anna Schwieger as a Compliance and Championships Assistant.
Schwieger will be working for the conference part-time and is working remotely from the Fayetteville, North Carolina area where she lives with her husband. Schweiger’s primary role will be assisting with various compliance matters, while she will also serve as a conference liaison at preliminary round championship sites and will assist with the organization of select championships. Schwieger worked with Associate Commissioner Kit Alewine at the Mountain West Conference office from August of 2017-July of 2019.
"We are thrilled to be able to have Anna join us in this role," Colvin said. "Her background speaks for itself and her knowledge is going to immediately assist our member institutions. She has already made a difference and we know that will continue into the start of the 2022-23 academic year."
For the past three years, Schwieger has been working as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance/SWA at NCAA Division II Drury University where she supervised institutional, conference and NCAA eligibility requirements for 470 student-athletes and 22 sports. In addition, she served as sport administrator for the baseball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track & field programs.
Schwieger started her time at the Mountain West as a compliance department intern before moving into an Assistant Director for Administration role. In this role, she helped develop budgets for 19 championship events along with multiple other responsibilities. Prior to joining the Mountain West, Schwieger was also a Coach Academy Program Administrator for USA Shooting.
Schwieger is a 2017 graduate of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration - Sport Management.
