Belmont Abbey, Emmanuel Earn Annual Conference Carolinas SAAC Make-A-Wish Awards
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas handed out its annual Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Make-A-Wish Foundation Awards recently for the 2021-22 academic year.
The annual awards were presented by Commissioner Chris Colvin during the 2022 Conference Carolinas “Leading the Way: Champions in Body, Mind, and Soul” annual SAAC Meeting sponsored by Cambria Hotel Greenville that was held on Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 17.
Each year, Conference Carolinas gives out the MVP Award to the institution that collects the most funds during the academic year. The Comeback Award is granted to the most improved institution when comparing funds collected from the previous academic year. Finally, the Top Play Award is presented to the institution bringing in the most money across all institutions for a single campus event.
Belmont Abbey received the Top Play and the MVP Award, while Emmanuel earned the Comeback Award.
“Every single year these are always some of our favorite awards to present to our student-athletes,” Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “This is something that I know all of our member institutions take a great deal of pride in and we all congratulate Belmont Abbey and Emmanuel for leading the way.”
