Paeton Phillippi of Belmont Abbey Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Golfer of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Paeton Phillippi of Belmont Abbey was selected as the Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Week for women’s golf for the week ending Sept. 20.
 
A sophomore from Wytheville, Virginia, Phillippi finished the 36-hole, par-72, 5,820-yard Savannah Lakes Invitational at Monticello Golf Course in McCormick, South Carolina tied for 15th.

Phillippi opened the tournament with a three-over 75 on Monday and followed with a two-over 74 in Tuesday’s final round for a 149 over the two rounds. She tallied five birdies and 22 pars in the event and finished tied for first in the tournament in par-3 scoring at one-under with a 2.88 average.

The Crusaders finished 11th as a team with a two-day total of 620 (309-311).
