Conference Carolinas Remains Prominent in Regional Rankings

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has had a successful start to the fall campaign with 10 teams ranked in their respective regional polls in the sports of men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s cross country.

Francis Marion, Lees-McRae and North Greenville represented the league in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA Division II Poll with the Crusaders receiving votes while ranking sixth in the Southeast Region rankings. Lees-McRae was ranked ninth with Francis Marion 10th. The full rankings can be viewed here

On the women’s side of the pitch, UNC Pembroke received votes in the national poll and is fourth in the Southeast with a 5-1 record overall and a 2-0 mark in league action. The full rankings are available here

On the course, Emmanuel men’s cross country leads all conference institutions with a fourth-place ranking in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region rankings. They are joined by conference foes UNC Pembroke (6th) and Lees-McRae (8th). The national rankings can be viewed here with regional rankings located here

Three women’s cross country teams made the USTFCCCA Southeast Region rankings led by UNC Pembroke at No. 7. They were followed by Converse (8th) and King (9th). The women’s national poll is here while the regional rankings are available here.
