King to Host 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas will hold its 2023 Men’s Volleyball Championship at the Student Center Complex on the campus of King University.
“King always does a fantastic job facilitating and hosting Conference Carolinas championships,” Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “We are excited to partner with them again to be able to bring our top-notch men’s volleyball student-athletes back to the Student Center Complex for the second time in the last three years in April of 2023.”
King hosted both the Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Championships in the spring of 2021. King also played host to the 2022 Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship.
“We are excited to serve as the host for the Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship,” King Athletic Director David Hicks said. “We have the premier NCAA Division II Men’s Volleyball Conference in the country, and we look forward to working with the conference office to host a championship that not only showcases some of the top student-athletes in the country, but provides all of our student athletes with a first-class championship experience.”
The quarterfinals of the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship will first be contested Tuesday, April 18 at host sites with the fourth-seeded team in the conference standings playing host to the fifth seed and the third seed hosting the sixth seed. The semifinals and final of the championship will be held on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 at the Student Center Complex.
The first semifinal on April 21 between the No. 1 seed and the winner of the #4-#5 matchup is scheduled for 5 p.m. The second seed will battle the winner of the #3-#6 matchup at 7:30 p.m. The final of the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship on April 22 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
