Belmont Abbey, UNC Pembroke Receive United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - United Soccer Coaches has announced the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award recipients for college teams and a pair of Conference Carolinas institutions were recognized.
The awards recognize a total of 117 men’s and women’s teams across the country for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game.
UNC Pembroke women’s soccer earned the Silver Award which is given to teams that accumulate a percentage of cards ranging from 11-30%. Belmont Abbey earned the Bronze Award which is presented to teams that accumulate a percentage of cards ranging from 31-50%. The Braves were bronze honorees last season while the Crusaders were silver recipients last year.
