Warren Davis of King and Jackson Lahey of Mount Olive Named Men’s Volleyball Weekly Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Warren Davis of King and Jackson Lahey of Mount Olive have been selected as the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball for the week ending Jan. 29, 2023.
Davis was chosen as the Player of the Week, while Lahey garnered Specialist of the Week accolades.
A junior outside hitter/right side, Davis averaged 3.2 kills and 2.4 digs per in two victories last week for King. He owned an impressive attacking percentage of .328 in the two five-set wins over Tusculum and Fort Valley State. He picked up his first career double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs in the win over Tusculum on Jan. 24. He followed that up with another double-double with 19 kills and 14 digs in the victory over Fort Valley State on Jan. 27.
Lahey picks up his second Specialist of the Week honor after a week in which he averaged 10.0 assists, 2.0 digs and 1.25 aces per set. The freshman from Pembroke Pines, Florida had his best match in Mount Olive’s win over Fort Valley on Jan. 28 with 34 assists, seven digs and three aces. In total on the week, Lahey had 40 assists, eight digs and five service aces.
