Conference Carolinas Basketball Programs Hold Strong in Regional and National Polls

GREENVILLE, S.C. – With the start of spring sports just around the corner, Conference Carolinas continues to be well represented in regional and national rankings. 

The week seven NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) regular season media poll for men’s basketball continued to rank UNC Pembroke 14th nationally with 181 points while the Braves remained third in the Southeast Region with 46 points. Belmont Abbey and Francis Marion also received votes in the region. The complete polls are available here.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) also released its seventh regular season poll and UNC Pembroke, who is 13-1 on the season, remained at No. 13 with 207 points. The poll is available here.

In the seventh edition of the D2SIDA women’s basketball regular season poll, Belmont Abbey climbed three spots in the Southeast Region rankings to No. 5 with 27 points and an 8-3 record on the season. The full poll is available here.
