Jayden Young and Henrik Westhoff of Emmanuel Collect Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Jayden Young and Henrik Westhoff of Emmanuel have collected the first weekly honors for Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball for the 2023 season.
Young was chosen as the Player of the Week, while Westhoff earned Specialist of the Week accolades.
A junior outside hitter from West Palm Beach, Florida, Young fashioned 27 kills to go along with five digs and one ace in Emmanuel’s season-opening victory over Tusculum on Saturday, Jan. 7. In the four-set victory, Young hit an impressive .400.
A senior setter from Bocholt, Germany, Westhoff put together an impressive performance in the victory over Tusculum with 51 assists, six digs and two blocks. He also had a kill in the 3-1 season-opening win.
