2023 Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships Preview
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte. The event will feature all 14 Conference Carolinas institutions.
The championships are free of charge with the men’s 8k beginning at 9 a.m. and the women’s 6k to follow at 10 a.m. An awards ceremony for both championships will be held after the men’s race.
In the men’s event, three teams are ranked by the USTFCCCA led by UNC Pembroke at No. 6 while Belmont Abbey is eighth and North Greenville is 10th. UNC Pembroke is the defending champion.
On the women’s side, Converse is the only team currently ranked in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region rankings with where they are ranked sixth. The Valkyries are looking for their first conference title while King enters the championship as the back-to-back conference champions.

There are no admissions for the championships. A cash-only concession stand will be available. In addition, Conference Carolinas championship merchandise will be sold at the 2023 Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships.
