Offensive Player of the Week
Taylor Stubbs, King
A senior forward from Murrieta, California, Taylor Stubbs of King posted the single-game performance of the 2023 season thus far in league play with nine total points on four goals and one assist in the 6-3 rivalry home win over Lees-McRae on Sept. 27.
The nine points secured by Stubbs on the day set the new King NCAA single-game mark in the category and her four goals tied her with Kara Garrett and Kendyl Baird for the most goals in a single game in the NCAA era (since 2010) for the Tornado.
Stubbs is presently second in Conference Carolinas in points (13) and goals (six) in conference play. She is tied for third overall in Conference Carolinas in all matches with eight goals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Elainee Sprinkle, North Greenville
A senior defender from Spartanburg, South Carolina, Elainee Sprinkle of North Greenville was pivotal in a 2-0 week, logging all 180 minutes.
Sprinkle was part of a defensive unit for North Greenville that allowed only one goal on the week and limited Emmanuel to just four shots in a 4-0 conference road win on Sept. 30. None of the four shots were on frame. She also scored a goal in the 77th minute. Sprinkle and the North Greenville defense held Young Harris to just two shots on goal in a 3-1 conference victory for the Crusaders on Sept. 27.
Sprinkle has logged the most minutes among field players for North Greenville this season with 654 minutes played. She has three goals on the season.
