Conference Carolinas Announces 2023 Women’s Soccer Championship Bracket

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The two-time defending Conference Carolinas women’s soccer tournament champions and the 2023 East division champions, UNC Pembroke, claimed the top seed in the 2023 Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship.

The Braves, who are 9-3-3 overall and 7-1-3 in league play, claimed the top spot with a .199 KPI value. UNC Pembroke advances to the tournament semifinals at the Truist Soccer Complex at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. 

Belmont Abbey claimed the No. 2 seed with a .150 KPI value. The Abbey enters the tournament 10-2-4 overall and 8-1-3 in league action. The Northwest division champions will play in the second semifinal on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

Francis Marion (7-5-4, 4-4-4 CC) earned the third seed in the tournament with a KPI value of .099. They receive a bye to the quarterfinals and will host the winner of No. 6 North Greenville and No. 7 Chowan on Saturday, Nov. 4 with a time to be determined. North Greenville (10-4-2, 9-1-2 CC), the Southwest division champions, host No. 7 Chowan in the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. in Tigerville, South Carolina.

Barton (5-5-5, 4-4-4 CC) earned the No. 4 seed and will host No. 9 Young Harris (9-5-4, 8-4-0 CC) in the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. in Wilson, North Carolina. The final first round contest will feature No. 8 Lees-McRae (3-7-6, 3-3-6 CC) traveling to face No. 5 Mount Olive (5-4-7, 4-3-5 CC) in Mount Olive, North Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. The two winners will then square off at the higher remaining seed in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 4 with a time to be determined.
