Mount Olive Picked to Repeat in Women’s Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. Mount Olive was picked to repeat and win its 10th title in program history in the 2023-24 Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference announced on Tuesday. 

The Trojans, who won seven straight championships from 2014-2020 and the past two, received 96 points and eight first-place votes in the poll. Converse was picked second with 89 points and two first-place votes while the 2023 Conference Carolinas runner-up, UNC Pembroke, was picked third with 84 points and the remaining first-place vote. Southern Wesleyan was selected fourth with 70 points while North Greenville rounded out the top five with 65 points.

Belmont Abbey was chosen sixth with 54 points and was followed by King (42), Lees-McRae (40), Erskine (27), Emmanuel (21) and Barton (17).

The 2024 Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on February 18-19 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
