Conference Carolinas Announces 2023 Women’s Volleyball Championship Bracket

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mount Olive has claimed the top seed in the 2023 Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Championship which begins on Saturday, Nov. 11.

The Trojans, who are 20-10 overall and 14-3 in league play, claimed the top spot with a .182 KPI value. Mount Olive advances to the tournament semifinals at the North Charleston Athletic Center in North Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. 

North Greenville, the co-Southwest division champions, claimed the No. 2 seed with a .156 KPI value. The Crusaders enter the tournament 23-6 overall and 14-3 in league action. NGU will play in the second semifinal on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Emmanuel, who shared the Southwest title with NGU, is 19-10 overall and 14-3 in conference play. They earned the third seed with a .155 KPI mark and receive a bye to the quarterfinals and will host the winner of Lees-McRae (14-10, 11-5 CC), Converse (9-19, 8-8 CC) or Belmont Abbey (5-19, 5-11 CC) in North Charleston on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. 

Lees-McRae, the Northwest division champions, earned the sixth seed and will host seventh-seeded Converse and 12th-seeded Belmont Abbey in Banner Elk, North Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Valkyries will face The Abbey at 1 p.m. with the winner to face the host Bobcats at 3:30 p.m.

UNC Pembroke (18-13, 12-5 CC), the East division champions, earned the No. 4 seed and will host No. 9 Chowan (6-21, 5-12 CC) and No. 10 King (10-16, 6-10 CC) on Sunday, Nov. 12. The Hawks and Tornado will play at 12 p.m. with the winner to face the Braves at 3 p.m. Francis Marion (15-15, 11-6 CC) claimed the fifth seed and will host No. 8 Young Harris (10-16, 7-10 CC) and No. 11 Barton (9-17, 5-12 CC) on Sunday, Nov. 12. The Mountain Lions and Bulldogs will square off at 1 p.m. with the winner to face the Patriots at 3:30 p.m. The winners of the UNC Pembroke and Francis Marion sites will square off in the first quarterfinal in North Charleston on Friday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.
