Conference Carolinas Collaborates With Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company to Announce Addition of Educational Component to 2023-24 Basketball Season
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas is thrilled to announce that it is collaborating with official title sponsor, Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company, for the first-ever educational component included in support of its 2024 Basketball Championships.
Conference Carolinas will work with all 14 members to target elementary and middle school students in their areas, in the Upstate of South Carolina and Western North Carolina.
In addition, Conference Carolinas is partnering with Atlantic Casualty and its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on a special book drive with more information to be released in December of 2023.
As part of the inaugural “Conference Carolinas Reading Champions Presented by Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company,” these elementary and middle school students will be invited to read five age-appropriate books over the course of the 2023-24 basketball season.
All students who complete their logs and lead the way by becoming “Conference Carolinas Reading Champions Presented by Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company” will be given a special voucher for an additional prize while also receiving a ticket voucher to attend the 2024 Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Basketball Championships at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on the campus of Wofford College.
Conference Carolinas and Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company will honor their reading champions in attendance for the Basketball Championships on March 9.

Conference Carolinas has a rich tradition in roots that dates back to its inception on Dec. 6, 1930. The NCAA Division II athletics conference presently has member schools located in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Member institutions for the 2023-24 academic year are Barton, Belmont Abbey, Chowan, Converse, Emmanuel, Erskine, Francis Marion, King, Lees-McRae, Mount Olive, UNC Pembroke, North Greenville, Southern Wesleyan and Young Harris.
