Barton, UNC Pembroke Women’s Soccer Ranked in Third NCAA Southeast Region Rankings

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The third NCAA Division II women’s soccer region rankings were unveiled on Wednesday, Nov. 8 and Barton and UNC Pembroke are ranked in the Southeast region.
  
UNC Pembroke who is currently 10-3-3 on the season and finished the regular season 8-1-3 in league play is ranked seventh in the region. The East division champions also claimed the top seed in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship and received a bye to the tournament semifinals in Browns Summit, North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 10.

The Braves will face Barton who is the No. 4 seed and is 7-5-5 on the season with a 4-4-4 league record. The Bulldogs are ranked ninth in the region. The teams will play at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
 
The 2023 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship will include 56 teams with eight from the Southeast Region advancing to the tournament.
 
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2023 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
