Vanja Przulj of UNC Pembroke Named D2 CCA Women’s Volleyball All-American
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) released its 2023 All-America women’s volleyball team on Wednesday and Vanja Przulj of UNC Pembroke earned third team honors.
Przulj, a Conference Carolinas All-Conference first team and All-Tournament team honoree, led the Braves to the East division regular season crown and a runner-up conference tournament finish. The 6-foot senior outside hitter from Belgrade, Serbia, finished the season leading the league in kills (566), kills per set (4.72), points (639), total service aces (57) and points per set (5.28). Nationally Przulj ranks third in total kills, fourth in points per set and sixth in kills per set.
Athletic communicators from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring women’s volleyball selected the D2 CCA All-America Team. The process begins at the regional level with all First Team All-Region picks advancing to the national ballot. This marks the 18th year that teams have been selected since the All-America program began in 2006.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
