Matteo Miselli of Belmont Abbey and Jack Sarnowski of King Named Men’s Volleyball Weekly Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Matteo Miselli of Belmont Abbey and Jack Sarnowski of King have been named the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball for the week ending Feb. 12, 2023.
Miselli of Belmont Abbey was tabbed as the Player of the Week, while Sarnowski earned Specialist of the Week accolades.
A senior outside hitter from Reggio Emilia in Italy, Miselli averaged 4.75 kills and 1.6 digs per set in three matches last week. He also registered eight blocks and had three aces in the three matches. His best match last week came in Belmont Abbey’s three-set win over Mount Olive. Miselli concluded the match hitting .452 with 18 kills, seven digs, three blocks and an ace.
A senior setter from Winter Springs, Florida, Sarnowski averaged 11.64 assists, 1.17 digs and 0.57 blocks per set in three conference wins for King last week. In King’s thrilling five-set league win over North Greenville, Sarnowski dished out 57 assists to go along with nine digs and three blocks. He also had two aces last week.
