Nele Weber of Mount Olive Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. Nele Weber of Mount Olive was selected as the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week for women’s tennis for the week ending Feb. 12.
 
A 5-foot-9 junior from Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Germany, Weber registered a pair of victories, as the Trojans outlasted Lenoir-Rhyne 4-3 in a rematch after playing the previous week at the City of Florence Invitational. 

At No. 1 doubles, she teamed up with Liza Voloshyna to secure a 6-1 win over Lucy Whelan and Alicia Wahlberg. Later in the day, Weber captured a critical 6-3, 6-3 win against Natalie Lutz in the fourth position of singles play to improve to 3-0 individually in the spring.
