Thrilling First Day at 2023 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – It was a thrilling opening day at the 2023 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships at the Kingsport Aquatic Center on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
 
The opening day of the 2023 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships saw two championship records fall with the first being the Emmanuel men’s foursome of Mykhailo Semenvo, Luigi Da Silva, Anton Akopian and Bartosz Mielniczuk setting the new mark in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:28.19.
 
The Emmanuel women’s 800 yard freestyle relay team of Reilly Allman, Isabell Schiller, Alexandra Cerbino and Susana Ungo also set the new conference mark with a time of 7:43.42.

The second day of the scheduled four-day Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships are slated for Thursday, Feb. 16. The preliminaries will get underway at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the finals scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
 
The preliminaries and finals each day will be streamed live on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network at ConferenceCarolinasDN.com. Commentary will be provided for the finals each day, but the preliminaries will just be video with no sound. Conference Carolinas will also stream the senior festivities live at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.
