Mason Chaney of Barton Named to USILA/Dynamic Division II Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its 2023 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week for the week of Feb. 27 and Mason Chaney of Barton represented Conference Carolinas on the 10 player team that earned recognition from the organization for their exceptional performances in their program’s games this past week.

A senior on attack from Dunkirk, Maryland, Chaney finished Barton’s two wins last week with eight goals and three assists. The all-time leader in Barton men’s lacrosse program history with 127 goals, Chaney scored four goals and had an assist in Barton’s 15-8 win over Davis & Elkins on Feb. 21. The Conference Carolinas men’s lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week scored another four goals and added two assists in Barton’s 18-8 road win over Coker on Feb. 25. Chaney leads all Conference Carolinas this season with 18 goals.

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) is an organization comprised of member colleges and universities which sponsor intercollegiate lacrosse for men.

The Association is entrusted to enhance and develop intercollegiate lacrosse by providing leadership, management, and services to its membership so that student-athletes, coaches, and other constituent groups will realize the maximum benefit from the sport of lacrosse.
