Dallas Wilson of Mount Olive Chosen Men’s Wrestler of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Dallas Wilson of Mount Olive has been chosen as the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Wrestler of the Week for men’s wrestling for the week ending Feb. 5, 2023.
A redshirt freshman from Stedman, North Carolina, Wilson registered a 2-0 mark in the 149-weight class at the UNC Pembroke Tri-Meet this past Saturday while securing a nationally-ranked win. He posted a victory via fall over Isaiah Dotson of Emory & Henry in the first period, as the Trojans cruised to a 54-0 win over the Wasps.
Against the Braves, Wilson delivered a masterful performance versus No. 11 individually ranked Jake Piccirilli by producing a win by a 4-0 decision. He improved to 21-3 on the season. He is currently in the midst of a six-match winning streak.
