Isabell Schiller of Emmanuel Earns Second Women's Swimming Freshman of the Month Honor
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Isabell Schiller of Emmanuel has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women's swimming for January.
A native of Karlskron, Germany, Schiller had an impressive month as she competed in 12 events across three meets in the month.
She opened the month with a first-place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:11.61 and a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100 back (56.69) and the 200 fly (2:11.81). She also swam a 25.17 split as part of the first place 200 free relay which finished in 1:43.59 in a duel with Emory.
Spiller followed that performance with three events wins in a senior day quad meet win. She won the 50 free in 24.83 and the 100 back with a time of 58.84. She also swam a 28.09 50 back leadoff leg in the 200 medley relay which won in 1:52.60.
She capped the month with the most individual points at the Point Senior Meet as she posted four firsts and one runner-up finish. She won the 50 back (28.69), 100 IM (1:02.00), 25 back (13.60) and the 25 fly (12.12) while she finished second in the 100 breast (1:09.66).
