GREENVILLE, S.C. -  Five Conference Carolinas student-athletes from three institutions were recognized in the first-ever Extra Inning Softball Division II Top 100 players rankings for the 2023 season.

Mount Olive and Francis Marion each had a pair of student-athletes honored while King had one.

Kylie Emanuele, the reigning Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, and Courtlynn Cooney represented the Trojans at No. 10 and No. 86, respectively. Rikkelle Miller of King was ranked No. 43 while Danielle Karacson and Savana Rosson of Francis Marion were ranked No. 71 and No. 94, respectively.

Emanuele (3B), Cooney (OF) and Miller (UTL) were each first team All-Conference Carolinas selections last season while Miller also earned All-Defensive team honors. The trio also earned D2CCA All-American honors last season while Emanuele and Miller were NFCA Second Team All-Americans, too.

The Extra Inning Softball organization debuted the inaugural Extra Elite 100 player rankings for Division II softball earlier this month. The criteria utilized to form these rankings includes a combination of career achievements, most recent on-field history and overall impact on their team and the sport as a whole.
