Ava O'Sullivan of Converse, Georgia Page of UNC Pembroke Named Conference Carolinas Co-Women’s Golfers of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Ava O'Sullivan of Converse and Georgia Page of UNC Pembroke were selected as the Conference Carolinas Golfers of the Week for women’s golf for the week ending March 14.
Page, a redshirt senior from Sydney Australia, earned the honor for the third time this season while O’Sullivan, a freshman from Exton, Pennsylvania, earned her fifth honor of the year.
O’Sullivan won the Converse Spring Invitational by Founders at Carolina Country Club on Tuesday. She carded a 36-hole 146 at the par 72, 5,840-yard course. She carded an opening round one-under 71 and followed with a 75 in round two. She helped the Valkyries to the team win with a 605 (298-307).
Page won the Barton Intercollegiate at Wilson Country Club on Tuesday as she carded a two-day 141. She played the par 72, 5,887-yard course to a two-under 70 in round one and finished the tournament with a one-under 72. She helped the Braves to the team title with a score of 628 (310-318).
