Warren Davis of King and Jackson Lahey of Mount Olive Pick Up Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Warren Davis of King and Jackson Lahey of Mount Olive have been chosen as the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball for the week ending March 19, 2023.
Davis was tabbed as the Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Lahey garnered Specialist of the Week accolades for the third time this season.
A junior outside hitter/right side from Mansfield, Texas, Davis averaged 5.00 kills and 2.60 digs per set last week. He picked up his sixth double-double of the season in a King victory over Belmont Abbey with a career-best 25 kills to go along with 13 digs. He hit .296 in the King five-set win.
A 6-foot-2 freshman setter from Pembroke Pines, Florida, Lahey averaged 11.63 assists, 1.88 digs and 1.25 blocks per set in back-to-back road conference wins last week for Mount Olive. On Friday March 17, he guided the offense with 40 assists, four digs, three blocks and a pair of kills in a convincing 3-1 victory over league-leading Erskine. The following day, Lahey registered his third assist/dig double-double of the season with 53 assists and 11 digs, while adding a career-high seven blocks in a 3-1 win at Emmanuel.
