Matthew Wyatt of Belmont Abbey Named to USILA/Dynamic Division II Team of the Week
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its 2023 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week for the week of March 20 and Matthew Wyatt of Belmont Abbey represented Conference Carolinas on the 10 player team that earned recognition from the organization for their exceptional performances in their program’s games this past week.
A sophomore on attack from Lutz, Florida, Wyatt finished Belmont Abbey’s two wins last week with 11 points on nine goals and two assists. He had the game-winning goal in Belmont Abbey’s 14-10 victory over Embry-Riddle on March 15. The Conference Carolinas men’s lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week finished the victory with four goals and an assist. In Belmont Abbey’s 14-6 conference-opening road win at North Greenville on Saturday, March 18, Wyatt had five goals and an assist.
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) is an organization comprised of member colleges and universities which sponsor intercollegiate lacrosse for men.
The Association is entrusted to enhance and develop intercollegiate lacrosse by providing leadership, management, and services to its membership so that student-athletes, coaches, and other constituent groups will realize the maximum benefit from the sport of lacrosse.
